  • Since January 20 of this year, I have begun creating paintings in response to the insulting and threatening behaviour of the government of the United States of America towards my country. Based on the lyrics of the Canadian national anthem, I have painted quintessential Canadian themes such as icebergs, polar bears and musk-oxen with titles such as Stand on Guard for Thee, Strong and Free and Terre de Nos Aïeux. I have also painted elephants and lemmings.
